“We hebben genoten in het prachtige huis met een fantastisch zwembad. Alles was aanwezig en het was er schoon en netjes. De eigenaren zijn behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het is een prachtige omgeving met een supermarkt op 5 minuten rijden. Wat ik wel lastig vond is dat het water, energie en olie er op het einde van het verblijf er nog over heen komt. en omdat er een verwarmd zwembad/sauna erbij zit heb je geen idee wat het je ongeveer na je verblijf nog bij komt. Van dat bedrag zijn we best wel geschrokken.”

“Had a great stay. House was clean, enough facilities. Swimming pool area is nice. Don't expect too much from the house, much of it is a bit outdated. Also keep in mind that you will always lose part of the deposit due to gas, water and electricity.”

“We had a good time at the property. The house is large and had enough space for 6 of us. The premises were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the mattresses were very soft. Some of us couldn't sleep well on them or had back problems. We had to bring our own bedding or we could use it on site for €30. The indoor swimming pool and sauna were great. There were enough options to spend our time there and the nearest supermarket was about 7 minutes away by car. Unfortunately, when we booked we didn't read that electricity and heating costs had to be paid additionally. So we had to pay over €400 for 4 days, which was offset against the deposit. During this time we were out and about a lot and were hardly in the house during the day. However, continuously heating the swimming pool alone costs a lot of money. Coffee is provided, but also costs extra (€2/2L). The disposal of garbage (€5/garbage bag) will also be billed additionally at a later date. Unfortunately, we weren't able to grill outside or use the beautiful facilities as the outdoor lighting had been removed, probably to ensure that the neighborhood wasn't disturbed at a late hour. It's a nice place to stay, but in my opinion you could make the additional costs more obvious from the start, like other places do, so there won't be any nasty surprises. If you are willing to accept these additional costs, the house in Remonval is recommended.”

“The managers explained the operation of the house well. Noise is forbidden after 10 p.m. but it is normal for the neighborhood. The house is very beautiful and rustic. Furnished with taste. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the sauna.”

“Swimming pool, dining room and lounge with bar are good. Placing fly screens is a must. The bedrooms are plain bad. No space, not a single cupboard, sinks without cap., toilet and shower for gnomes. In a word, disastrous!! The extra costs are much too high and the deposit must be paid in cash!!!. Never will I come back here.”

“The first reception was good, unfortunately the host and hostess only spoke French. Nevertheless, with the help of the written Dutch information, everything has become clear. The rooms were reasonably clean, but e.g. the sofa was not really clean under the cushions. What was / is a downside for us: in some bedrooms there was so little space that we could not put our suitcases anywhere. There was also no wardrobe to store our clothes there. We certainly had a great time, especially the indoor swimming pool ensured that our grandchildren also had a good time. In the kitchen and dining room were more than enough stuff available. We have corrected the defects that we have encountered further by means of. photos submitted. (Dishwasher and tiles in bathroom1). The handling at our departure also went well.”

“We had a wonderful midweek with the family. In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we really enjoyed the pool, especially for the children a great success! Unfortunately from the house no view of the beautiful surroundings. The house is cozy, but brief in terms of eating utensils. Few coffee cups, no tray (yet handy with so many people), coffee filter costs € 2 each. The beds were fine.”

About the holiday home

This comfortable 8-bedroom farmhouse can accommodate 20 people and is located in Waimes.

Located in a former 18th-century house in a hamlet in Remonval, the area nearby this holiday home is ideal for walking and cycling. The charming village of Waimes is 7 km east of charming Malmédy and has great restaurants and shops to satiate both your food and shopping appetites. Les Hautes Fagnes nature reserve is just 10 minutes away by car, the pretty recreation lakes of Robertbille are 7 km away and Bütenbach is 10 km away from this farm and makes for a nice day trip. Both general supplies and Waimes town centre can be found only 2 km away.

The bedrooms have lovely box spring beds and the view of the landscape from the swimming pool is simply enthralling. t comes with free WiFi, sauna, a private swimming pool, a kitchen complete with professional equipment and a spacious courtyard with a terrace and barbecue and is perfect for families, groups and children alike. Parking is available on the premises.
