Through the large windows and from the terrace you can experience Finnmark's magnificent scenery in all seasons. Winter time when the northern lights dance in all their color praise in the sky, is a natural phenomenon that you hardly forget. In spring and summer, it is as bright as night as it is during the day. On beautiful evenings when the midnight sun shines up the whole landscape in its reddish shear, you may want to sit up all night to enjoy the beautiful nature experience. This part of Finnmark has a wonderful and varied hiking range for the whole family. Here are large areas of wilderness where you can pick berries like molten, blueberries and more. To the north lies Porsanger Peninsula with many fishing waters and rivers. To the south lies Stabbursdalen National Park at Porsangerfjorden, which has rich flora and birdlife. If you have booked a holiday home in Norway, you may need to book a ferry crossing. Please remember to order your tickets well in advance. Further information concerning ferry connections, please see VisitNorway.
Many Norwegian holiday homes are located on small islands, but regardless of where a house is located, the easiest way to reach the holiday home will often be to go by the ferry. Consequently it is a good idea to check the various ferry possibilities. On VisitNorway you will find a list of all the ferries in Norway.
In some cities such as Oslo and Bergen a toll fee must be paid when entering/leaving the city. There are also many rather small roads privately administrated in Norway. Also here you will have to pay.
If you wish to be updated on the road and traffic situation, please check on VisitNorway.
